NASA moves Artemis II astronauts into quarantine as Moon-mission preparations intensify

NASA has placed the Artemis II crew—Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen—into pre-launch quarantine as the agency pushes toward its next crewed Moon mission.

The health protocol is designed to reduce the risk of illness close to launch while training and mission rehearsals continue, alongside ongoing testing of the Space Launch System and Orion spacecraft.

Artemis II is expected to send astronauts on a loop around the Moon, a key step for validating systems needed for later lunar landings.
