Nationwide chocolate bar recall expands as FDA warns of possible Salmonella contamination

A nationwide recall of certain chocolate bars has expanded after warnings that the products may be contaminated with Salmonella, a bacteria that can cause serious illness, especially in young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems.

The recall involves Spring & Mulberry chocolate bars, with the expansion adding multiple additional flavors beyond the original product named in the initial notice. Distribution included online sales and select retail channels, which means consumers may have the items at home even if they do not recall purchasing them recently.
